As the Final Four approaches, BOXTOROW releases its 11th annual Division I men’s college basketball All-America teams.

Hampton guard Jermaine Marrow has been named BOXTOROW National Player of the Year. Marrow, a junior from Newport News, Va., is ranked eighth in Division I in scoring, averaging 24.4 points per game. He also averaged 4.9 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game. Marrow helped lead the Pirates to a fifth place finish in their first season in the Big South Conference as well as a quarterfinal finish in the Collegeinsider.com Tournament.

Prairie View A&M head coach Byron Smith has been named BOXTOROW Coach of the Year. Smith led the Panthers to a 22-13 overall record and a 17-1 SWAC record. The Panthers also won the SWAC regular season and tournament titles. The tournament championship was the first for the Panthers in 21 years and earned them a trip to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.
