Charleston County School District is now accepting applications for Child Development (CD) programs for the 2019-2020 school year.
The full-day CD/Pre-Kindergarten programs are for children who will be four years old by September 1 of the year of enrollment and allow the District to provide full-day instruction for eligible students at no cost to the family.
CCSD’s Child Development programs are designed to develop skills necessary for success in Kindergarten. The curriculum is comprehensive with a primary focus on language and literacy, numeracy and social-emotional development.
The needs of bilingual, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and preschool children with exceptional needs are met through our inclusive program. Parents should apply at the elementary school where their children are zoned to attend.
The CD/Pre-K application and all required documents can be found at your neighborhood school and the CD page of the CCSD website. Completing an application does not guarantee enrollment.
Space is limited; parents and guardians are encouraged to apply early. For additional information on Early Learning programs offered in CCSD, please contact your neighborhood school or the District’s Early Learning Department at (843) 937-6342.
