In late January, The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG) held a series of interactive, public Community Workshops in Charleston, North Charleston and Summerville to kick off the next phase for the Lowcountry Rapid Transit project and provide an opportunity for the public to weigh in on the vision for the system.
For those who missed the workshops, an online meeting is available through Feb. 28 and will be accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week for comment and input. The meeting can be found online by visiting www.lowcountryrapidtransit.com.
“We want to engage with the community in ways that are convenient and interactive,” said Sharon Hollis, BCDCOG principal planner, and LCRT project lead. “LCRT represents an opportunity for modern transportation to transform our region.”
The online meetings include videos, maps, opportunities to comment and more.
