Charleston County School District and Clemson University Inclusion and Equity will host the Lowcountry Student Summit January 26, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Academic Magnet High School, 5109 W Enterprise Street, North Charleston, SC 29403.
An extension of the Clemson University Men of Color National summit, this day-long event is stocked with tools and resources for students in grades 8-12 to plan for success after high school.
The Lowcountry Student Summit features motivational speakers and workshops designed to help students tap into their talents as well as develop academic and professional skills that prepare them for college and post-college careers.
The keynote speaker is Brian Heat, a motivational speaker, and career educator. The Summit is open to CCSD students, parents, guardians, educators and administrators.
Attendance is free but limited to the first 500 participants. Pre-registration is required, and registration ends when the event is full. Walk-in registrations will not be permitted.
