5-4-3-2-1! Happy NOON Year! 2019 comes early at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry (CML). With a playful, outdoor ball drop at noon on New Year’s Eve, rainbows of confetti and all kinds of hands-on play (including make-your-own ribbon wands!), families will enjoy New Year’s festivities all before bedtime. The event is FREE with CML Membership or Museum Admission and recommended for all ages. No pre-registration is required.
Monday, December 31 is also the final day to purchase raffle tickets for CML’s College Fund Raffle. The Museum is offering families a chance to win up to $40,000 in savings for college. CML will be selling tickets at the museum and online through 1:59 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018. Purchasers of CML’s College Fund Raffle tickets will be entered to win funds that will be deposited into a Future Scholar 529 savings account. A 529 plan is a tax-advantaged investment vehicle in the United States designed to encourage saving for the future higher education expenses of a designated beneficiary.
Each raffle ticket costs $40, and no more than 2,000 tickets will be sold. CML will split raffle proceeds, up to $40,000, with one winner. The more tickets sold, the larger the pot to split! Amount of prize will be based on total proceeds from the raffle. CML will split proceeds 50/50 with winner, up to and including $40,000. There is no guarantee of prize amount. Raffle tickets may be purchased online at exploreCML.org/college-fund-raffle.
The Museum will be open from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018, closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, and will re-open with regular hours on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
