Tricounty Family Ministries will bring some much needed holiday cheer to the homeless, working poor, struggling families and the elderly this season with their annual Christmas Party. This free event will be held Saturday, December 22 from 10:30 am to 2:00pm. Around 2,000 members of Charleston area communities are expected to come enjoy a meal catered by Jim n Nicks at Cherokee Place United Methodist Church on the corner of Rivers Avenue and Cosgrove Avenue in North Charleston (2105 Cosgrove Avenue).
The event will feature lunch, music, turkeys, a giveaway, as well as a visit from Santa. All children who attend will receive a gift. Adults in attendance will receive a purse filled with hygiene products, coats and also turkeys and other meats, while supplies lasts.
Tricounty Family Ministries has provided more than 6.1 million meals to the hungry through its soup kitchen, emergency pantry and meal delivery service since its inception in 1983.
