Salem Missionary Baptist Church’s 151st Anniversary Celebration

Salem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 350 Sumter Street in downtown Charleston, will celebrate its 151st Anniversary. The public is cordially invited to join them in celebration, starting Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. with a Speakers’ Program featuring several dynamic presenters that will lift spirits in short but timely messages and on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 7:00 with a concert with Salem Male’s Choir and very special guests some of the best Male Choirs from the Lowcountry.

The culminating service will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at the Church with the Reverend Jatorin Owens, Pastor of See-Wee Missionary Baptist Church (Awendaw) bringing the anniversary sermon and his soul stirring choir. This year’s theme is “Giving Thanks Unto God for 151 Years” taken from Psalms 106:1. Mrs. Vivian G. Simmons is anniversary chairperson and Reverend James B. Lewis, Sr., and Pastor and Reverend William U. Frederick, Jr., is Pastor Emeritus.
