The League of Women Voters is hosting a forum with candidates running to serve Districts 100 and 102 in the South Carolina House of Representatives and District 7 on Berkeley County Council. The forum will be held on Wednesday, October 24, at 6:30 pm. The forum will take place at Heart to Heart Outreach Ministry, 106 Behrman St., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
All candidates on the ballot for these offices have been invited to participate. They are: for House District 100, Sylleste H. Davis (Incumbent; Republican) and Michael W. Yates (Democrat); for District 102, Terry Hardesty (Republican) and Joe Jefferson, Jr. (Incumbent; Democrat); for County Council District 7, Marcia Jakab (Republican) and Caldwell Pinckney, Jr. (Incumbent; Democrat).
Candidates will answer written questions from the League and the audience and meet with voters.
The forum will be video streamed live and posted on.
The purpose of the candidate forum is to give voters an opportunity to meet candidates and hear them discuss issues of importance in this election. The event is free and open to the public. It follows the League of Women Voters’ nonpartisan, unbiased and impartial format.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm.
