LWV of the Charleston Area Sponsors Forum for Dorchester County School District Two Board Candidates on October 23

A forum with candidates running for Dorchester County School District Two Board will be held on Tuesday, October 23, at 6:30 pm. The forum will take place at Dorchester County Adult Education Center, 1325 Boone Hill Road, Summerville, SC 29483.

Forum co-sponsors with the League are: Circulo Hispanoamericano, Lowcountry Teachers Taking Action, and Trident Literacy Association.

All 7 candidates on the ballot for Dorchester School District Two have confirmed participation. WCBD News 2 Anchor Brendan Clark will moderate.  Candidates will answer questions from Post and Courier and Summerville Journal Scene representatives. Written questions submitted by the audience will also be asked.

The forum will be video streamed on https://www.facebook.com/LWVCharleston/.

The purpose of the candidate forum is to give voters an opportunity to meet candidates and hear them discuss the issues of importance in this election. The event is free and open to the public. It follows the League of Women Voters’ nonpartisan, unbiased and impartial format.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm.
