The North Charleston Branch NAACP and President Edward J. Bryant III are pleased and proud to announce their 32nd Annual Freedom Fund Banquet. All who support the NAACP’s mission and action are encouraged to join the celebration on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the Charleston Area Convention Center Ballroom, 5000 Coliseum Drive, North Charleston. Guests will gather at 6:30 pm and ceremonies begin at 7:00 pm. Suggested attire is semi-formal.
The Banquet is hosting Reverend Samuel L. Green, Sr., Presiding Bishop of the 7th Episcopal District, AME Church, as keynote speaker. Carolyn Murray, popular local TV personality from WCBD, will be the Mistress of Ceremonies that night. A full dinner is offered, of course. Branch members Phillip Scott and David A. Brunson, Jr., are chairing this 2018 Freedom Fund Banquet.
Current events in our nation demand that we unite for justice, equality, and fairness. The NAACP has been the civil rights leader in the United States for decades. Now it works closely under new President Derrick Johnson along with the ACLU organization, monitoring issues across the country. The Freedom Fund Banquets held by many local Branches like North Charleston #5538 serve to support the National organization and its mission financially. And of course, all citizens are warmly invited to join together at the Banquet, not only those who are currently NAACP members or North Charleston Branch members. Come on out to North Charleston on October 20 to listen, learn, enjoy, and be inspired!
Tickets to this event cost $65.00 each, with the option of reserving a table for 10 guests at $650. Tickets may be purchased at the door, and free parking is included. For those who wish to purchase tickets in advance, please email the Branch with your contact information: firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also phone Mr. Scott at 843-810-4071 or Mr. Brunson at 843-572-8946.
