The Mill Celebrates 10 Years of Underground Art

MECHAGODZILLA: New work by Phillip Hyman hand cut stencils, painted in layers with aerosol painted on repurposed-plywood

The Mill has been an art venue for underground artists for over 10 years. It was created as an art venue by artist Phillip Hyman to support little-known artists who usually are not asked to be in other shows because of what and how they paint. Many artists received their first break showing at the Mill. Hyman says this has always been one of the leading places to see and buy underground art. Because the artists are underground artists, the prices are relatively inexpensive. The shows always push what is normally seen in Charleston. Thanks to Phillip and all his hard work for the art community, The Mill has flourished for over 10 years in North Charleston!
