Wesley United Methodist Church in Ladson, South Carolina welcomes Rev. Enrique Gordon as its new pastor.
Rev. Gordon, a native of Colón, Panama, is a 2015 graduate of Gammon Theological Seminary, with over 10 years of ministerial service. Gordon was relocated from Greenville, S.C., where he served as the pastor of the Berea Friendship United Methodist Church and the Iglesia Esperanza; which he founded in 2009. He is married to Rev. Shirley Gordon and they have two sons, Tremaine (Las Vegas, N.V.) and Adell (Greenville, S.C.). He is also the proud grandfather of five beautiful grandchildren.
With his strong belief in leadership, Rev. Gordon also believes that, “as Christians we must lead by example.” Simply because, the Christian life is about letting our light shine, so that others can see Jesus in us. Gordon’s favorite scripture is, Proverbs 3:5-6. It reads, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
