Charleston hip-hop artist Walter Brown is the headlining artist for Extra Chill Fest at the Purple Buffalo on Saturday, September 8. Brown will headline alongside Human Resources and Whitehall. Also on the lineup are Daddy’s Beemer, Niecy Blues, Tape Waves, Tom Angst, Sunny Malin, Dakota O, Alarm Drum, Abstract and Chris Wilcox.
Walter Brown’s album IMOW was released in July under Sony affiliate distributor Hitmaker and has been gaining traction both locally and nationally following its debut.
Local food vendors will be on-site with options for vegans and meat-lovers alike. Also at the event will be vendors from the local arts community. Audio and video crews will be on-site to document the event in its entirety.
The Extra Chill Fest will feature a large outdoor stage provided by Awendaw Green in the back lot of The Purple Buffalo as well as the venue’s indoor stage. Extra Chill partnered with Real South Records for the booking and planning of this event. Pabst Blue Ribbon Sound Society is the lead sponsor for the music festival and $2 from every ticket sold will benefit Carolina Youth Action Project. Click here to purchase tickets.
