The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) is welcoming people with special needs, their families, caregivers and friends to a unique night at the waterpark! On Saturday, July 28, Splash Zone Waterpark on James Island will open its gates in the evening for these guests to enjoy.
Special Needs Swim Night will take place after the waterpark is closed to the general public, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Splash Zone waterpark is located within James Island County Park.
Splash Zone features two 200-foot-long slides, a large leisure pool, a lazy river, and their newest attraction The Rainforest, a family play complex complete with buckets dumping water, five slides, and various sprays and misting elements. Lifeguards will be on duty throughout the evening.
Admission to Special Needs Swim Night at Splash Zone is $7 per person. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase on site. To purchase advance tickets, visit CharlestonCountyParks.com or call 843-795-4386.
CCPRC also operates Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark in North Charleston, and Splash Island waterpark in Mount Pleasant. All three waterparks are open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. every day through Aug. 17, and on weekends only from Aug. 18 through Labor Day.
