A group of 15 healers of various disciplines recently convened on Edisto Island in a retreat atmosphere to receive training from the founder of the Ra Sekhi Arts Temple led by Rekhit Kajara Nebthet. Nebthet is an educator, author, healer and community activist who has spent the past twenty years traveling abroad and throughout the United States teaching and training individuals on how to overcome health problems.
Her four day retreat, with healers from the U.S. and Canada, involved intensive hands-on training in the principles of energy healing, aura cleansing, ear candling, sound therapy, chakra balancing and the importance of eating healthy. Participants also received direct instruction from her team of experts in self-healing techniques and the importance of instilling awareness, enlightenment as well as the importance of caring, sharing and self-help within community.
Upon the conclusion of the training, members received certification as Ra Sekhi Kemetic Reiki practitioners and were charged with the responsibility of going back into their respective communities to effectively confront the challenges of racism, poverty and miseducation.
