Non-Profit Hosts 13th Annual Money Fair Free for Local Residents

The Increasing H.O.P.E. Financial Training Center will host its 13th presentation of Money Fair Saturday, April 21th, 2018 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Royal Life Center at 4441 Durant Avenue in North Charleston. In addition to providing financial literacy and education during its annual community outreach, the non-profit organization will host the inaugural Pastors & Leaders Money Roundtable at 11:00am.

Money Fair 2018 is a free interactive community event with something for the entire family. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask financial experts questions about a variety of topics that include, home ownership, credit restoration, banking, insurance, and investments.  Children will have fun meeting and greeting Increasing H.O.P.E.’s mascot “Mo Money” as he makes learning about money fun.   

“We are more than thrilled to offer this day of financial enrichment to the community this year.” says Dorothea Bernique, Executive Director of Increasing H.O.P.E.,  “We’ve partnered with some of the top financial service providers in the area. All under one roof with one purpose, to provide hope, education, and empowerment that will lead attendees to financial freedom.” explains Bernique.

There will be food vendors, games, and giveaways throughout the entire day. Money Fair 2018 is free and open to the public, but attendees are asked to register for the event at

    I need help with hove to handle my money better, now that I just have one check coming in, after I loss my husband a year ago.
