Everyone with an interest in informing and engaging citizens in the democracy is welcome to attend. This workshop is free, but registration is requested at http://lwvcharleston.org/GOTV_Workshop.html.
“Now is the time to organize for the June 12th State Primary and November 6th General Elections. Though 2018 may be considered an “off year” election, there are many important local, state, and congressional offices to be filled, including election of our state governor. Informing and engaging voters is something all of us can do as part of building a strong democracy. The League invites you to attend this workshop to learn effective strategies for getting out the vote. Participating in the workshop are several community leaders who will share their work reaching out to special constituencies.” – Barbara Zia, Citizen Education Director, League of Women Voters of the Charleston Area
