MORRIS BROWN AME CHURCH – CHURCH SEXTON (CUSTODIAN)
POSITION SUMMARY: In this role, the employee will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the church family.
Part-time – Hourly(30 hours per week)
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior custodial experience in cleaning, janitorial and caring for a large facility preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to move and set-up table, chairs and light furniture.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, climb, lift, sit and move itermittently during work hours.
• Skilled in the use of light tools and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to excerise good judgment, work efficiently, effectively, independent and amiably.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Background check and drug testing be performed.
• Regular scheduled hours are 2-9 pm, but flexibility is needed depending upon the needs of the church

In 2016, Tricounty Family Ministries was able to provide over 1900 meals to Lowcountry residents along with clothes, coats, and hundreds of toys for local children at the Christmas brunch! Tricounty Family Ministries is extremely grateful to Charleston Place, Charleston Grill and Feed the Need who are sponsoring the event. They are also thankful for the support of Charleston City Paper as we work to collect items for those in need.
