SCAC Board of Directors Scholarship Open To Charleston County Residents

The South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC) is pleased to announce its annual Board of Directors Scholarship Program. This program awards $2,500 scholarships on an annual basis to graduating high school seniors who are residents of counties chosen by lot by the association. Since Charleston County was selected in the 2018 draw, one scholarship will be awarded to a resident of Charleston County.

Applicants for the SCAC Board of Directors Scholarship must be planning to attend a South Carolina college/university or two-year technical college in the fall. All applicants must complete an application form and write an essay on their aspirations and goals. Two letters of recommendation are also required. Scholarship notices and application forms have been sent to all Charleston County high schools, and students may apply online via The recipient will be selected by an SCAC Scholarship Selection Committee in April.

Chartered on June 22, 1967, SCAC is the only statewide organization representing county government in South Carolina. Governed by a 29-member Board of Directors composed of county officials from across the state, SCAC is a non-profit and nonpartisan organization dedicated to improving county government in South Carolina.

    It is very nice that your blog is providing information regarding the program. I want to aware you towards the” Fund for Education Abroad Scholarships”. The scholarship program is open to Students who are currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university in the United States.
