MORRIS BROWN AME CHURCH – CHURCH SEXTON (CUSTODIAN)

POSITION SUMMARY: In this role, the employee will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the church family.

Part-time – Hourly(30 hours per week)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• Prior custodial experience in cleaning, janitorial and caring for a large facility preferred.

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

• Must be able to move and set-up table, chairs and light furniture.

• Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English.

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, climb, lift, sit and move itermittently during work hours.

• Skilled in the use of light tools and cleaning equipment.

• Ability to excerise good judgment, work efficiently, effectively, independent and amiably.

• Valid South Carolina driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Background check and drug testing be performed.

• Regular scheduled hours are 2-9 pm, but flexibility is needed depending upon the needs of the church
