Charleston Area World AIDS Day Community Candlelight Vigil To Be Held December 1

The Charleston Area World AIDS Day Community Candlelight Vigil will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 1 at the Unitarian Church of Charleston, (4 Archdale St.)

Commemorate World AIDS Day at this event with speakers and performances aimed at sparking a dialogue about the HIV crisis facing the Charleston area. Attendees are also invited to participate in the candlelight memorial honoring lives lost. A reception will follow the ceremony in Gage Hall. This event is free and open to the public. This year marks the 25th anniversary of World AIDS Day in the City of Charleston. Volunteers, community groups, individuals and AIDS services organizations come together for this annual event as a way to raise awareness about the HIV epidemic that continues to impact the Lowcountry.
