The 2nd Annual Miss Cancer Warrior Pageant: “Let’s Give Cancer The Boot”

The Miss Cancer Warrior Pageant is not your average beauty pageant. Instead of crowning beauty queens, they crown warriors (i.e. women who have endured and survived cancer). The focus is to celebrate cancer survivors and showcase the strength and courage of each contestant. The director of The Miss Cancer Warrior Pageant, Ylonda Nero-Anderson, is a 3 year Breast Cancer survivor, and the founder of the pageant.

Each woman who competes must be a survivor or going through cancer treatments. These women are ready to take a stand and say, “I’m a survivor, I’ve been through it, and I’m not hiding anymore.” A portion of the money raised will go to the American Cancer Society.
