ROYAL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH – Do you recognize the signs of suicide, bullying or teen dating violence? When is depression more than just a passing phase? Would you know how to help a friend or loved one? The Royal Missionary Baptist Youth Church Ministry will host a free workshop for parents and youth ages 7-17 on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 9:00am- 2:00pm. During a panel discussion and topical break-out sessions, a collaboration of local professionals will be sharing their knowledge and experiences on preventing teen suicide, bullying, peer pressure, teen dating violence and how to build relationships.
Dan Jenkins Clinical Counselor of MUSC, lead panelist for preventing bullying and peer pressure, Cynthia Williams LPC, NCC, lead panelist for preventing suicide, and Sydney Binney, Community Domestic Violence Liaison from My Sister’s House lead panelist for teen dating violence and building relationships. We are requesting your assistance in reaching potential candidates. The applicant should possess strong leadership abilities, and most importantly, be committed to the Word of God. The applicant must be a motivating minister and teacher. The applicant should provide leadership in all aspects of church growth, development and formulate innovative means for increasing membership. We are desirous of an ordained minister or one who is willing to be ordained in the Baptist Doctrine. The successful applicant should have graduated from an accredited college or university and possess a Bachelor’s in Theology and three (3) years pastoral experience. Applicants without a Bachelor’s in Theology should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in some area, a minimum of two (2) years in seminary training and three (3) years pastoral experience. The prospective applicant should possess administrative experience.
