SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar in Mt. Pleasant, Summerville and Downtown Charleston will be partnering with My Sister’s House through the restaurant’s Kitchen Karma program over the next six weeks. Proceeds will directly support the local nonprofit organization that provides services, programs and resources to empower victims of domestic violence and their children to be free from abuse.
“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group,” explains David Clark, owner of SOL. “Their commitment to help victims of domestic violence in our community is truly incredible.”
Through its Kitchen Karma program, SOL partners with a local charity organization for a period of six weeks, and donates $1 from every featured Kitchen Karma item sold in that time period to the partnering charity. The featured items for the My Sister’s House partnership include the Tuna Lollipops and Blackberry Margarita.
Before partnering with My Sister’s House, SOL’s most recent Kitchen Karma partnership was with One80 Place, an organization that provides food, shelter and hope to end homelessness and hunger in the Lowcountry. Over the six week period, SOL raised a total of $4,013 between all three locations for One80 Place.
