National Beauty Culturists League Incorporated Holds 98th Convention In Alexandria, VA

The National Beauty Culturists League Incorporated held its 98th Convention, National Institute and Trade Show July 15-22, 2017 at the Hilton Alexandria Hotel in Alexandria Virginia. Members were very excited in welcoming new members with the opportunity of venturing into a new frontier of Professionalism. In today’s world where the globe has shrunk, the National Beauty Culturists’ League Incorporated remain strong in the continuance of diligently providing the very best educational instructors in the National Institute of Cosmetology (NIC), by enriching student matriculation toward higher levels of knowledge and skills.

KING of the Coronation Ball for TWELVE CONSECUTIVE YEARS. Ms. Tina Michelle Mitchell of Dublin Georgia was crowned QUEEN. Congratulations to Dr. Scott for the additional dedication in providing the beautiful attire worn by the gorgeous female and handsome models on the night of the Hair Designers Guild Show combined with the Sigma Nu Theta National Fraternity signature of A Night to Remember.

Congratulations to Rev. Dr. Hattie M. B. Rambert of Charleston, SC on her appointment to serve on the NBCL Chaplain Staff to preside over the Meditation hour Monday through Wednesday, along with record documentation in the Technology Office.

Ms. Oneathia Washington of North Charleston, SC demonstrated her skills in cutting and hair styling by winning another trophy in the student competition. Mrs. Joyce Gilliard of Summerville, SC received her BPC Degree with an outpouring of admiration from her class mates. Mrs. Margaret V. Bell of Charleston, SC excitedly received her Masters Degree. All studies of the curriculum is accredited by the District of Columbia. Mrs. Nellie Whitaker attended as a delegate in cheering the Region One Beautician members in each phase of events. Attendees exhibited an eagerness in anticipation each day of discovery in building a stronger organization. The Key words of “Team Work” opened minds to really look at the past, learn from it, and grow from it. It will be the pathway toward the preparation of our 100th year of celebration in 2019.

Mrs. Cindy L. Collins of Lexington, SC serves as the President of the SC State Cosmetololgists Association, and is the Fourth Vice President of the National Beauty Culturists’ League Incorporated. I extend my appreciation to all that attended from SC, and to those that came from other states, and the Caribbean to attend the convention.

As the Fourteenth President of this wonderful organization, I extend my appreciation for those in the professional industry in support of the National Beauty Culturists’ League Incorporated, and to remind those that are licensed not to forget the Pioneers that led the way for a living Legacy standing at 25 Logan Circle, N.W., Washington, DC 20005.
