The C.A. Brown Alumni Association June 24 held its 10th annual Panthers in the Park Picnic. Some 200 panther proud C.A. Brown High School family and friends spent the afternoon reminiscing and renewing old friendships. The Class of 1980 had the most attendance for the panther in the park for the second straight year.
Charles A. Brown High Alumni Association (CABHAA) President Pres. Joey Washington said the association has held the picnic on Hampton Park the past 10 years to say “Thank You” and show its appreciation for the support of the alumni family, their spouses, children and the community. This year the association will make donations of Thanksgiving baskets to needy families and to Ronald McDonald House. The association has been making the donations every other year since 2007.
“This is our biennial year of giving to the Ronald McDonald House and Thanksgiving food baskets to ten needy families,” said Sharon Coakley. “It is our fifth year of giving to the Ronald McDonald House and to ten needy families. We’re asking for non-perishable items or monetary donations. Please check the dates on your non-perishable goods before dropping them off. Any committee member will kindly pick them up from you. We will deliver the items on Saturday November 18, 2017.”
Please make checks payable to CABHAA and mailed to: Joey Washington, P. O. Box 532 Ladson SC 29456. Inquiries also may be sent to Joey at that address.
