The Roddy White Keep the Faith Foundation is awarding $500 scholarships to 10 students in Georgia and South Carolina toward tuition at the post-secondary institution of their choice.

The Roddy’s Rockstars Scholarship will be awarded to students demonstrating academic achievement and community involvement.

“Our goal is to help enhance the experience of those who have a desire to continue their education or training in their chosen field,” said Roddy White, the foundation’s founder and former Atlanta Falcons player.

To receive the award, applicants must be a high school senior with a 2.5 or higher GPA.

Applicants must supply a current academic transcript and an acceptance letter to attend their post-secondary institution, along with one letter of recommendation from a counselor, community leader, teacher, manager or coach. In an “I Am a Roddy Rockstar” essay, students must describe in at least 300 words their character, academic performance, future goals and community involvement.

The deadline to submit the application is April 30. Five students from Georgia and five students from South Carolina will be awarded the scholarship.

White played 11 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and is a native of South Carolina.
