Staff Reports – On Monday, January 30, Fort Dorchester High School wideout/defensive back Adonicas Sanders verbally committed to play for The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at the next level, according to team officials.

Sanders, who previously starred at Burke High School, made the most of his opportunity this past season. After catching 44 passes for 935 yards and 8 touchdowns in his first year for the Patriots, Sanders broke out in 2017 hauling in 61 passes for 1,440 yards and 20 scores.

The 6-1, 185 pound athlete’s stellar play landed him a spot in the North-South All-Star game as well as the S.C. Shrine Bowl. He was a member of the Patriots 2015 championship team as a junior. He currently is a member of the varsity basketball team as well.

Sanders will make his commitment official when he signs his letter of intent on National Signing day today. He also had offers from Western Carolina, Presbyterian and South Carolina State according to reports.
