Charleston County Parks Summer Camp Registration opens March 8

Summer is coming! For parents looking to make the season one for kids to remember, the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) offers many opportunities for children and teens to explore their environment and experience adventure through summer camps. The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) opens summer camp registration on March 8, 2017.

The natural settings of the county parks offer adventurous youth ages 6 and up an ideal venue to learn about themselves and create a personal connection with the Lowcountry environment. Younger campers enjoy hands-on fun in Explorers and Odyssey Camps, while older youth explore diverse activities at Adventure Camp, Discovery Camp, Teen Venture Camp and the Junior Lifeguard Program. Designed to challenge, entertain and inpire, camps allow youth to develop physical, social and decision-making skills while promoting self-confidence, environmental awareness and fun. CCPRC is committed to giving every parent and child a positive and supportive experience. Camp staff is trained to assist in the development of self-confidence, cooperative skills and personal growth, keeping the emotional and physical well-being of each child at a priority. All staff members are certified in First Aid and CPR, with additional certifications and training based on activities.
