New Lowcountry Restaurant, Carolima’s, Offers Delicious Cuisine, Excellent Service, Sunday Brunch

Inspired by her desire to give fellow foodies a place where they can enjoy great service and good eats at an affordable price, Lowcountry native Sameka M. Jenkins and her staff share good ole’ fashioned hospitality and mouth-watering cuisine at Carolima’s, the holy city’s newest Gullah-inspired restaurant located at 5D South Alliance Drive in Goose Creek. Carolima’s is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and for brunch on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; closed on Mondays.  

 

Carolima’s features Lowcountry staples like baked turkey wings, fried fish, Charleston red rice, and Hamlin Beach seafood salad, as well as a variety of specialty items that incorporate Gullah style cooking and the savory flavor the Lowcountry is famous for. Other house specialties include collard green egg rolls, buffalo chicken dip egg rolls, and fried cabbage. The dessert bar features daily desserts, including Charleston Chewies and red velvet cheesecake brownies. The Sunday brunch menu boasts salmon croquettes, corned beef hash, shrimp & gravy with creamy grits, and Southern fried chicken and red velvet waffles.

 

From main dishes to baked goods, the key ingredient for everything on the menu is the Jenkins’ love and respect for her Gullah heritage and commitment to excellence. Carolima’s offers high quality cuisine coupled with an unprecedented level of customer service.
