Brand South Africa and Joyous Celebration presents Heal our Land US East Coast Tour 05-10 December 2016
South Africa's gospel music group Joyous Celebration partners Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Potter's House Choir as well as "Friends of the Potter's House" (other established American gospel artists) for the recording of Joyous 21 and a "Day of Culture Live Concert East Coast Tour" from the 03rd to 10th December 2016, with the main objective of sharing and highlighting cultural diversity with music as a unifying force through this collaboration. The group will tour Texas (Dallas), New York (Brooklyn and Harlem), New Jersey (North Brunswick), Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), Maryland (Baltimore) and Washington DC.

Music is the biggest cultural phenomenon in the world and has the power to touch and unite people whilst contributing to a thriving economy. Just like developing economies have to contend with issues of racial inequality and lack of opportunity, the US is no exception as it has to also address issues of race, inequality and opportunity for the marginalized. In this regard, the arts in South Africa have played and continue to play an integral role in shaping the country and society at large, especially as an important contribution to social cohesion and nation-building, and promoting South Africa through the advancement of intercultural dialogue, understanding and collaboration. As Joyous Celebration "comes of age" and celebrates two decades of music making, they aim to continue changing lives and touching souls by bringing their music to all people across the globe and in the process share and tell the South Africa's good story of nation building, reconciliation and fostering social cohesion.

Joyous Celebration is a brainchild of 3 music industry's heavyweights - messrs Lindelani Mkhize, Jabu Hlongwane and Mthunzi Namba. The 3 have over the years collectively revolutionized the music industry and the gospel genre in particular. Initially inspired by South Africa's peaceful transition to democracy, they established this Gospel Music Concept (later to be named Joyous Celebration), and according to Lindelani Mkhize "with the purpose of seeking and unearthing talent, training, shaping and nurturing it and then putting it on the biggest stage for any artist in South Africa, and some moving on to become household names, after carving their own careers in the industry".

Over the years, Joyous Celebration group has made indelible footprint across the borders of South Africa, touching numerous countries, to a point where the name Joyous Celebration, has not only become synonymous with gospel music in South Africa and beyond its borders, but the brand has transcended the "religious" sphere to become a lifestyle brand that is the biggest and longest standing production of its kind in South Africa, inspiring new ways, especially in a country whose vision is to be a nation its people and the world will draw inspiration from; inspiration to find new paths, new solutions, new possibilities, new experiences, new ideas and the will to make it happen.

20 years on the trio have built the most successful musical group in the history of democratic South Africa and proudly celebrate 20 years of bringing gospel music to people of all ages, race and creed, with 20 albums under their belt to-date (selling over 6 million CD's and DVD's), countless of awards and accolades (including winning the Best Gospel Event of the Year Award at the African Gospel Music Awards in London for their album Joyous 16).

Brand South Africa "honours this truly and uniquely South African brand for their 20 years of existence and excellence and the contribution and impact they have had on the South African arts landscape and music scene".
