Felicia Preston
Attorney Felicia Preston has joined Nexsen Pruet’s Charleston office where she will work as Special Counsel with the law firm’s Business Litigation group, focusing heavily on firm’s growing Title IX practice.

Preston also has experience in representing businesses and professionals on contract matters, property disputes, construction litigation, surety & fidelity matters and business tort claims.

“Educational institutions need careful guidance in order to comply with Federal Title IX requirements," said Val H. Stieglitz, chair of the firm's Litigation Group. "Felicia will be a significant asset to the Nexsen Pruet team that works with colleges and universities, in the Carolinas and elsewhere, to create and implement Title IX policies."

Before entering into practice as a private attorney, she served as the law clerk for the Honorable J. Michelle Childs, United States District Court Judge for the District of South Carolina. Preston earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Clemson University. During law school she received multiple honors in Moot Court competition and served as research editor for the South Carolina Law Review. In 2011, she was a Bronze Award Recipient of the University of South Carolina School of Law Compleat Lawyer Awards.
