Nonprofit professionals from across the region will convene for an afternoon of learning, networking and idea sharing at the first inaugural Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) Lowcountry DIG (Develop. Inspire. Grow.) Summit on Tuesday, July 12, from 12:45 PM to 5:30 PM at the Hyatt Place Hotel in downtown Charleston.
The goal of this inaugural Summit is to energize and equip young professionals in the nonprofit sector with the experiences and resources they need to develop, inspire and grow to be effective changemakers in our community.
"Professional development is an essential key to the success of our future leaders and the community as a whole," said Adam White, founding YNPN Lowcountry co-chair and Executive Director at Chase After A Cure. "An investment in their professional development is an investment in the sustainability of the organizations they lead and work with. If we as a community are not investing in training and development, then how can we make the positive changes we wish to see in the world?"
Attendees will spend the afternoon with other like-minded nonprofit professionals from the Charleston Tri-County area learning about a variety of topics that affect us in the nonprofit world. This year's topics include fundraising, stewardship, marketing, board leadership, grants, business finance and more, as well as a keynote presentation by Sally Ehrenfried, Manager of Philanthropy and Volunteer Engagement at Blackbaud. Roundtable breakout sessions will allow for an engaging learning environment followed by a networking happy hour at HoM.
Tickets are $35 for YNPN Lowcountry members and $45 for non-members, and include afternoon refreshments and the chance to continue conversation over drinks at HoM. Advance registration is required.
