The Charleston Illumination Project and the Charleston Branch of the NAACP are co-sponsoring a public Listening Session on WED, April 13th at 6:30pm at the ILA Hall. President Dot Scott, said the NAACP supports dialogue between the community and the police to strengthen relationships.

Charleston’s Illumination Project is a year-long process to further strengthen and broaden collaboration between the city of Charleston police and the citizens they serve. The project engages the community upstream of inevitable challenges rather than waiting for events to occur. This lessens damaging and harmful reactions between police and the community and creates long lasting positive relationships between police and the community.

For further information, call (843) 747-3669 or visit: www.charlestonpolicefund.org and click on the Charleston Illumination Project banner.
